Madrid is home to many delicious foods. We learned the different ways we could eat meals. A “Menu del Did” or Menu of the Day has a first course, second course and dessert. We also ate family style and got a chance to try new foods. We realized there is a difference between tapas and raciones. Both are meant to shared between friends, but tapas are smaller with 1-3 servings, and raciones have more servings. We had lots of fun ordering foods and figuring out which ones we liked the best. We really wanted to try paella in Madrid, but we knew that paella comes from Valencia, and we want to experience paella with our homestay families in Valencia.
