The other day we went to a craft market called Mwenge and spent some time making wood carvings with local artists. We sat with the artists for about 2 hours making different pieces such as a person, a gorilla, and a monkey. It was really amazing to see how much work goes into the sculptures. We even saw one that took 3 years for the craftsman to make. It was a really interesting and fun experience.
