France: fine Arts and Photography-One final post

It was a bittersweet to be leaving our host families since many of us got extra close to our families. But reuniting with the group for the last five days of the trip was an extreme rush of happiness. The group has become a family who are sadly going to part their ways at the end of the program. We all will live in a the moment and enjoy the last few days we have with each other in Paris.

My homestay was absolutely the best. At first I was terrified to go in, scared they wouldn’t like me, or they would think I was dumb, but they truly took me into their family and I love them all so much. I couldn’t have asked for more. Autumn

With our journey coming to a close, I am so grateful for being given the opportunity to travel to France and learn about fine arts and photography, as well as becoming a part of French culture with my host family. Although I miss my home in Houston, I will miss the friends and family I’ve made on this past month. Chris

Now that the program is coming to an end, I’ve come to realize that I just made a new family that I spent an entire month with. From strangers to my family, I will miss everyone because I know they are people I can always call my friends. I love them all and hope I get to see and meet up with them later in the years. I will also hope to meet up with my host family since I did get very close and already miss them so much! Evelyn
