The Experiment in International Living has been offering immersive experiential learning programs abroad since 1932. When a group of students sailed for eight days across the Atlantic to Germany with the mission of fostering peace through understanding, communication, and cooperation.
Letter from the Executive Director
Experimenters are high school students looking to discover the world through hands-on educational experiences. The Experiment actively seeks to engage and enroll students of all different races, religions, abilities, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
The Experiment partners with more than 60 high schools, mentoring organizations, community groups, and individual donors and foundations to provide participants with scholarships and other funding.

The Global Advisory Council helps further World Learning’s mission to empower a new generation of global citizens to build peaceful, prosperous, inclusive and responsible institutions through international development, education and exchanges.
