Whether I was hiking mountains, doing community service with children, or experiencing my first time in a cave, Spain was where I became an Experimenter. I stepped out of my comfort zone and left with a new family. Now, I will take my experiences home to better my community.
Gleymy Garcia, Experimenter to Spain
Participating in an Experiment program is just the beginning of lifelong engagement with a global network of contacts, resources, and opportunities. Experiment alumni join a worldwide community of students and participants from the entire family of World Learning programs, which includes SIT Study Abroad, SIT Graduate Institute, and World Learning international development and exchange programs.
Experiment, SIT, and World Learning alumni are engendering change worldwide — in fields that include sustainable development, international education, TESOL, conflict transformation, public policy, advocacy, food security, and social justice, among many other areas. We strongly encourage our alumni to stay connected and engaged with the entire World Learning community.
Recipients receive $10,000, comprehensive training in social innovation and leadership, and a support network of mentors and peers to implement an original social innovation project.
Ambassadors contribute to the success of current and future Experimenters by sharing information about their programs via phone or email. There are also opportunities to spread the word about The Experiment in their schools and home communities. Contact email@example.com for more information.
